General Treatment of Objectives and Constraints

In Carat++, objectives and constraints are treated completely the same way via so-called response functions.

Response functions ...

  • describe an arbitrary value of the problem formulation under consideration.
  • can be plugged into the optimization problem either as objective or as constraint.
